As part of the
new regional airline a separate department has been created to cater for the
increasing demand for clients wishing to charter aircraft. The Charter
Logistics Department is located in the regional city of Wagga Wagga in southern
NSW, which was the original birthplace of Kendell Airlines. As a charter
flight, we operate to your own personal schedule to deliver you on time and
refreshed to your destination at one of the 1,000s of airports that we can
operate to within Australian territories. Rex operates under an Airline
licence, even as a charter flight, and is obliged to adhere to the strict
regulatory guidelines as decreed by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority. Your
comfort and safety are assured.

Terminals
Our Regional Express flights depart and arrive at the major cities and regional ports from our own terminals, all of which are staffed by locally based Rex personnel. In Sydney Adelaide and now Melbourne, Rex offers corporate lounges, which are now available for use by members. These lounges provide complimentary tea and coffee, sandwiches and snacks in the afternoon, a bar service after 3:00 pm, meeting rooms, daily newspapers, Internet access and a range of other facilities including massage chairs. To join, click here.
Pel-Air also operates a sophisticated Executive passenger terminal at Darwin
International Airport only 10 minutes from the city centre. The terminal has
secure parking for large jet aircraft and ample room for client car parking
available.
Catering
A
catering service is supplied on the larger Saab aircraft that provides for a
light refreshment in flight including freshly brewed tea or coffee, muffins,
cakes and chips and a bar service that is available after midday.
Alcoholic beverages include full and light strength beers, a range of premium
red and white wines from Australian wineries, pre-mixed UDL beverages plus soft
drinks. A light meal may also be served if requested that is varied on a weekly
basis and depends upon the time of day in which the flight is operating.
Additionally, if you have special or additional catering needs, our staff will
endeavour to meet all your requirements and this can be included into the price
of the quote.
An experienced and dedicated
contracted independent company called In Flight Logistics, which has offices in
most capital cities, provides all of the Regional Express in-flight catering.
Destinations
So where would you like to go?
As a charter flight, we can operate into many and varied destinations within
Australia and it’s territories that are not normally serviced by regular
airline schedules, and our only restriction is the size of the airport’s runway
and it’s operational restriction for aircraft of our size.
Pel-Air aircraft can operate into international destinations with non-stop
services provided to New Zealand, New Guinea, Fiji, Vanuatu, Solomon and Cook
Islands & New Caledonia.
Rex has a complete department that oversees the operational requirements of our
aircraft and if your intended destination is operationally unsuitable for our
aircraft type, we will endeavour to find a suitably close airport for boarding
or disembarkation so as to minimise driving time between ports for you.
On some of our chartered flights
it may be necessary to stop en-route to re-fuel for those longer haul sectors,
and you will be well and truly catered for during the stop. Recent studies have
shown that it is often good practice to be able to walk around and stretch the
legs on these longer trips, a luxury ill afforded on larger aircraft.
With only one re-fuelling stop, Pel-Air Executive charter services or Medivac
flights can operate to Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia and Polynesia.
Clients
Rex
has built up a client base that is as varied as the country over which we fly.
Some of our existing clients consist of State & Federal Government bodies
such as the Dept of Natural Resources and the NSW Rural Fire Service for bush
fire relief, as well as the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and Foreign Embassies.
We also provide regular services to tour organisers such as Showgroup
Enterprises (John Farnham, David Bowie and Bruce Springsteen tours) and large
mining companies. We also include the Australian Football League, off shore
drilling companies and many international and domestic travel agents as our
valued clients. We even have other Airlines that charter our aircraft!
As many and as varied as our clients are, we welcome aboard any new clients,
and we will make every effort to ensure that we fulfil your every need.
Pel-Air has a strong and trusted reputation in the aviation industry and has
established a large client base providing services for State and Federal
Govenrments, Defence Forces, international aid organizations and a myriad of
Australian companies and individual clients.
Charter Aircraft advantages
1) FLEXIBILITY
– As you effectively “own” the aircraft throughout the day as a charter client,
you are able to nominate the departure times that suit your specific business
or social needs – unlike larger scheduled airline services, with a charter
service, “if you are running late, we will always wait.” Rex charter aircraft
operate to your own personal schedule.
2) COST EFFECTIVE – Many of our
clients find that it is just as cost effective and practical to charter an
aircraft as it is to use larger scheduled airline services. There is no
requirement to stand in queues or deal with delayed departures when chartering
because your aircraft is there waiting for you and not the other way around.
Your aircraft can become your office!
3) AIRPORT ACCESSIBILITY –
Charter flights are able to operate into those airports not normally visited by
scheduled air services giving you a wide range of access to villages, towns,
cities and business and holiday destinations throughout Australia.
4) SECURITY – Unlike scheduled
services where you are unaware who your fellow travellers are, on a charter
service you dictate who will, and who will not be travelling on your aircraft.
You have the right to fly with just yourself aboard, or with up to 33 of your
friends or business acquaintances or fellow club members.
5) MULTIPLE
DESTINATION ACCESS – If your business needs dictate
visiting numerous towns or cities throughout the day or week, then your
chartered aircraft will
deliver you to your appointments refreshed and in minimum time whilst allowing
you to continue with your work commitments during the flight
6) HOLIDAYS
– Why not gather your family or friends together and charter one of our fast
and comfortable Saab aircraft to visit places like the Whitsunday’s, then on to
Cairns, before flying over the amazing gulf to visit hot and humid Darwin.
Perhaps fly down the arid centre of Australia to the Alice and Uluru, before
visiting Broome to purchase some pearls and relax at Cable Beach Resort, then
on to the home of Aussie millionaires in Perth. And all this is ONE WEEK! If at
any stage you wish to stay longer in one spot, or abbreviate your holiday in
another, your aircraft will wait for you.
As you can see, there are absolute advantages to chartering a Regional Express
Aircraft or Pel-Air aircraft, whether for business or pleasure, and it would be
our pleasure to be able to provide you with this service if possible.
